For any students who have not had prior training we recommend a traditional 4-hour course with an "authorized instructor". The traditional 4-hour course makes it possible for the instructor/trainer to take the necessary time to explain certain concepts more thoroughly.  However, if any student without prior training feels confident enough to take the online renewal testing and can pass, please feel free to attempt.
