- Motivated to ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion
- View student assessment as a way to improve individual knowledge and skills
According to AHA-ECC Policies, all new instructor candidates MUST have current provider status (certification) in every discipline or Heartsaver Level that you wish to teach;
- Heartsaver CPR
- Heartsaver First Aid
- Heartsaver AED
- Healthcare Provider
If any instructor candidate has not yet taken any of the AHA-ECC BLS Heartsaver courses as listed, then our standard course fees will apply. Please refer to each individual webpage for more information regarding information & fees.
This policy also applies to ACLS & PALS instructor candidates.
1-Fill out instructor renewal application form (other paper work).
2-Powerpoint Presentation (explanation of Network and Administration).
3-2005 ECC Guidelines Video Updates (review).
4-Core Instructor Course (review/discuss).
5-Instructor Candidate presentation (demonstrate instructor skills in front of group).
- Time Frame for Original course: approximately 4-6 hours!
- Time Frame for Renewal course: approximately 2-4 hours!
- Renewal is every "two years"!
