Family and Friends First Aid for Children

This is a community based course and goes hand in hand with the CPR Anytime Kit Program.  We do not charge a fee for this course, as it is non-credentialed.  Even though this is a self-directed course/information as with the CPR Anytime Kit Program, our organization is still willing to come and help conduct this course to any group. 

Course Description

  • All ages: 4½ hours
  • Adult: 2 1/3 hours
  • Infant and child: 2½ hours

Intended Audience
All lay rescuers, such as schoolchildren, family members of patients at risk for sudden cardiac death, and other laypersons who want to learn rescue skills for loved ones.

Designed for child care workers, family members, babysitters, and others who want basic first aid training but do not need a course completion credential.

Focuses on the critical first few minutes after an emergency, including topics such as basic first aid treatment, response to choking child or infant, and injury prevention.
