Upon completion of the cognitive and skills practice portions, students must meet with an American Heart Association BLS Instructor for a skills test (Part 3). Students who successfully complete parts 1, 2 and 3 receive their BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.

This new self-directed, instructional kit combines the HeartCode BLS™ Part 1 program with CPR practice manikins, an instructional CPR skills DVD and other tools to provide students an alternative method to complete the cognitive portion (Part 1) and skills practice (Part 2) required to receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.
