COURSE DESCRIPTION

BLS for Healthcare Providers is designed for healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, nursing assistants, and a wide variety of persons working in the healthcare industry. It also should be used for anyone preparing to become a BLS instructor. This would include lay persons such as teachers who will be training participants in middle or high school.

This course is more extensive than that taught in either the Heartsaver CPR or Heartsaver AED Course. The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course curriculum includes: how to properly perform bag valve-mask ventilation, and TWO RESCUER CPR situations for Pediatric Victims only.

Written Exam

For the Healthcare Provider level, there is a written exam (Multi-Choice) of which you will be required to pass with at least 84% or better.
