BLS for Healthcare Providers is designed for healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, nursing assistants, and a wide variety of persons working in the healthcare industry.  It also should be used for anyone preparing to become a BLS instructor.  This would include lay persons such as teachers who will be training participants in middle or high school.

The content for the BLS for Healtcare Providers Course is more extensive than that taught in either the Heartsaver CPR or Heartsaver AED Course.  The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course curriculum includes the relief of FBAO in both responsive and unresponsive victims, bag-mask ventilation as well as rescue breathing with mouth-to-mouth and mouth-to-barrier device ventilation, use of an AED for adults, children and 2-rescuer CPR.

The course curriculum  is approximately  2 to 4 hours in length and consist of 3 modules: (1) adult CPR and relief of FBAO in responsive and unresponsive victims, (2) use of an AED for adult victims, and (3) infant and child CPR and relief of FBAO in responsive and unresponsive victims.

*FYI: If students complete course with the required passing score 84% or better, then the Instructor will issue a "certification card" at the end of the course...guaranteed!
